Positive and negative numbers and the number plane. The student will:

•  Understand and use positive and negative numbers
•  Understand and represent positive and negative numbers on the number plane
•  Add and subtract positive and negative numbers
•  Multiply and divide positive and negative numbers
•  Understand and solve real life problems involving positive and negative numbers

Fractions and percentages .The student will:

•  Compare and order fractions
•  Add and subtract fractions and mixed numbers
•  Multiply and divide fractions
•  Convert decimals and fractions to a percentage and vice versa
•  Find a percentage of a quantity and vice versa
• Understand and solve real life problems involving fractions and percentages

Patterns and algebra. The student will:

• Find the next number given the rule
• Describe number patterns
• Complete tables using the rules given
