Structure ideas and arguments both orally and in writing, in a sustained and logical way, and support them with relevant examples.
Distinguish the main ideas in a text from the secondary ideas.
Content
Pupils will look at characters in other societies who have some sort of impact (negative or positive). Students will study other cultures, from past and present, to try and learn about their differences and similarities with each other, and their own. They will also put themselves in the places of those characters to assess how they would have behaved in similar situations.
Summative task
Write a script for a very short play following the guidelines in this unit. The play must be based on a conflict the main character experiences when cultural traditions have been broken by members of another community.
