Aims/objetivos

  •  Describe the functions of the alimentary canal's various parts in relation to ingestion, digestion, absorption, assimilation and egestion of food.
    Identify the gross structure of the respiratory system
  •  Describe the role of ribs, internal and external intercostal muscles and diaphragm in ventilation of the lungs
  •  State the differences in composition between inspired and expired air
  •  Describe a test for carbon dioxide

Content/contenido

How food is transformed into smaller and soluble particles in order to be absorbed
How gases are exchanged in humans

Summative task / evaluación final
