Aims/objetivos

Students will learn how to:

  •  Define photosynthesis and state the equation for the production of simple sugars and oxygen in either words or symbols.
  •  State relationships between photosynthesis, stomata and mesophyll cells.
  •  Describe gaseous exchange in the leaf. And identify the structure and function of vascular bundles (xylem and phloem).
  •  Describe the intake of the raw materials, the trapping and storing of energy (conversion of light energy into chemical energy) and the formation of food substances and their subsequent storage.
