 Explain how nutrients are cycled in ecosystems
Explain how energy flows through ecosystems

Content/contenido

  •  Describe the carbon, nitrogen and water cycles (names of intermediate products and specific microorganisms in the nitrogen cycle are not required)
  •  Define ecosystem, biotic and abiotic.
  •  State that the Sun is the principal source of energy input to biological systems.
  •  Describe the non-cyclical nature of energy flow.
  •  Define the following: food chain: food web: producer; consumer, herbivore, carnivore, decomposer; ecosystems
