The student will be able to:
Classify changes as physical or chemical either given and / or deducing criteria. Eg new products, temperature changes, gas production.
Describe the state of matter an explain their interconversion in terms of the kinetic particle theory.
Draw sketch graphs of heating and cooling curves for pure and impure substances. The student will link flat portions on graphs with the changing of state.
Deduce the state of a substance at a given temperature from BPt and MPt data
