| Content/contenido | Calculations and calculators. The student will: Evaluate numerical expressions using a calculator Express a numerical value in standard form and/or in ordinary notation Use the order of operations when simplifying numerical expressions Going Places.
The student will:
- Calculate average speed using the formula s=d/t
- Calculate distance using the formula s=d/t
- Calculate time using the formula s=d/t
- Interpret distance–time graph s=d/t
Topic Positive and Negative Numbers.
The student will: - Add and subtract positive and negative numbers without a calculator
- Multiply and divide positive and negative numbers without a calculator
- Apply the rules for Order of operations
- Estimate the answers to numerical operations
- Solve real life problems
