Student will be able to:
Explain different types of nervous systems in animals (Hydra, earthworm, and vertebrates).
Describe the human nervous system in terms of the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord as areas of coordination) and the peripheral nervous system.
Identify motor and sensory neurones from diagrams.
Describe a simple reflex arc and a reflex action as means of integrating and coordinating stimuli with responses.
Define what a nervous impulse is and explain how it is transmitted.
