| Content/contenido | Quadratic Equations and Graphs. The students will:
Simplify all mathematical operations using pronumerals Substitute numbers into expressions and solve Factorise: common factor, difference of squares, trinomials Solve quadratic equations using the factorization methods above and by completing the square and using the quadratic formula Use the discriminant to determine and find the roots Plot parabola Sketch parabolas using the basic form y = x2, turning point form, general form ax2 + bx + c
Measurement. The students will:
- Understand and know how to calculate errors in calculations of measurement
- Calculate the perimeter of any 2D shape
- Calculate the area of all 2D shapes and the surface area of prisms and composite figures
- Calculate the volume of prisms and composite prisms
Exponential Functions. The students will:
- Understand and apply the first index law

- Understand and apply the 2nd index law

- Understand and apply the 3rd index law

- Understand and apply the 4th index law

- Understand and apply the 5th index law

- Understand and apply the 6th index law

- Investigate functions of the type
, discuss asymptotes etc. - Use GDC to graph exponential functions
